For yet another year, we were there as sponsors of one of the most important events of the year on the motorcycle touring calendar, the 100 Coll, held last weekend.
The goal of the more than 350 participants from 11 countries was to crown the largest number of mountain passes of the one hundred that are included in the race, over the course of three intense days, crossing a large part of Catalonia, Andorra, and Southern France. Always obeying traffic laws and the rules of the road.
Orienteering and strategy are the keys to this route-planning event. With this in mind, SHAD awards the Efficiency Trophy, awarded to the participant who tops the most mountain passes in the least number of kilometers. The trophy went to the Frenchman Bernard Desmeules, at the handlebars of a BMW R1250 GSA, who crowned 31 mountain passes, covering 997 kilometers.
