The SHAD ambassador and rider managed to come in ahead for the second year in a row in the Africa Eco Race, one of the toughest raids in the world, and a worthy heir to the Paris-Dakar.
It was precisely at the Pink Lake of the Senegalese capital where the finish line was located for this race, which kicked off on December 28 in Monaco and ended in January after crossing 5,900 km through the Sahara Desert.
On the handlebars of a strictly standard Harley Pan America 1250, Pedrero overcame stage after stage in a race plagued by difficulties to be proclaimed the winner in the Maxi Trails category and achieve a magnificent 8th place in the overall rankings.
Official Yamaha rider Alessandro Botturi, in turn, on a bike equipped with a SHAD NAD seat, finished second in the overall rankings, only 26 seconds behind the winner.
