The tank bags equipped with SHAD’s Click System anchor have been awarded the international Red Dot prize in the Product Design category.
This recognition confirms SHAD’s commitment to design, which ensures functionality and convenience for riders around the world. This award also strengthens the brand as a leader in the motorcycle equipment sector.
The most urban family of over-tank bags, intended for daily use and for road trips, is based on three models (E02, E03 and E09), with a total of 8 versions and capacities ranging from 3 to 8 liters. They are manufactured using different finish levels and materials, such as ABS and EVA.
One of the most highlighted aspects is their level of security. There is an option to install a key-operated lock to mount the bags on the motorcycle and a combination lock to prevent theft. Other extra functions that can be found on some versions are an expandable capacity and the waterproof support for a smartphone.
The tank bags are equipped with the Click System anchor developed by SHAD, which allows the bags to be mounted quickly and securely on any type of bike, offering riders an ergonomic, practical solution. Thanks to their intuitive design, they are easy to remove at the press of a button and allow you to ride safely, even if they are not locked.
Specific fittings have been developed to make them currently compatible with more than 200 models of motorcycles. Focused on versatility, the range also allows any bag to be substituted, if it has the same anchor.
This family and its recognition are the fruit of the hard work done by SHAD’s internal design team, along with the Magma Design studio.
The Red Dot award is one of the most prestigious prizes in the field of design, awarded by an international panel of experts who evaluate products from round the world based on their innovation, appearance and functionality. Prestigious brands like Apple, BMW and Bose are frequently found among the winners.
This is the fifth time a SHAD design has received a Red Dot Design Award. Previous winners were the SH36 side case in 2015, the SH58X expandable trunk in 2017, the aluminum TERRA cases in 2021 and the SH38X Expandable side case in 2024.
